MEET OUR TEAM

we’re committed to your success

At Wild and Free Behavior, we know firsthand what it’s like to face the trauma and debilitating feeling that comes with a diagnosis. In 2016, my husband and I were both in our final semester of university when we were hit by a drunk driver. As a result of the accident, I broke my neck and experienced a spinal cord injury that caused our lives to take a drastic, unexpected turn. Faced with what seemed like an insurmountable challenge, I learned to harness the power of my situation and embrace my new disability while accomplishing my goal of becoming a Board Certified Behavior Analyst. Today, we are proud to help families across North Mississippi navigate their unique challenges with confidence, courage and hope.

ABOUT ABA THERAPY

unlocking your child’s potential

Applied Behavior Analysis, or ABA therapy, is a scientifically-proven, evidence-based therapeutic approach that is designed to help your child develop and improve their social skills and behaviors while becoming more communicative, independent and successful in their development journey. Studies have shown that ABA therapy leads to the substantial improvement of intellectual and social functions in 90 percent of those who received treatment on a weekly basis.

HOW IT WORKS

understanding your child’s unique needs

When we begin working together, we’ll meet with you for a consultation and assessment where we’ll learn about your child’s strengths and capabilities and discover the things that challenge them in their daily lives. We’ll then use our insights to design an individualized plan for therapy that aims to curb problematic behaviors while improving communication skills and other core abilities. Over the course of time, we’ll continually revisit and review our progress and make adjustments as needed to ensure that your child is reaching their developmental goals and milestones.

FIND HOPE FOR YOUR JOURNEY

with wild & free behavior

No matter the struggle or challenges that you might face, we understand what it’s like to be labeled with the burden of a disability. As therapists and partners in your journey, we are able to relate to your struggle of navigating through a life where everything feels abnormal.

As a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), I am currently licensed to practice ABA therapy in Mississippi where I live and work with my husband. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Speech and Hearing Sciences and a Masters degree in Instruction and Curriculum Leadership with a concentration in Special Education. It’s my hope that through our work together, you’ll walk away with newfound strength and courage knowing that you and your child are not alone. Life is a gift, no matter the struggles that you face. While your child’s developmental milestones may look different than you anticipated, there is still so much that can be achieved. Your child can still live wild and free as they are meant to be.

Frequently Asked Questions

    Can you diagnose my child?

         Can you diagnose my child?

While Wild & Free Behavior does not provide diagnostic services, we can help you connect with practitioners that do (Clinical Psychologists). Once your child has been diagnosed with ASD and receives a referral for ABA therapy, we can then provide treatment regarding your child’s specific behavioral needs.

    How long do services last?

        How long do services last?

Because each child develops at their own rate, the length of their treatments will vary. Your child will be individually assessed and then receive treatment that is catered towards his/her individual needs. We will base the length of services on ongoing supporting data, decreasing service level when the data supports fading of services.

Is ABA Therapy Covered By Insurance?

Is ABA Therapy Covered By Insurance?

We currently accept newly diagnosed ASD clients, ages 2-6, who are covered under Blue Cross Blue Shield of Mississippi (BCBS).

What does ABA Therapy look like in practice?

What does ABA Therapy look like in practice?

ABA therapy is not a one-size fits all solution, but an individualized program that is designed to meet the needs of your child and their unique circumstances. The goal of an ABA therapy program is to help your child develop the skill and capacities that will help them become more communicative, independent and successful in their development journey.

When we begin our work together, we’ll deliver an assessment that will help us gain an understanding of your child’s core behavioral challenges and developmental needs along with your family’s unique goals and preferences.

We’ll then design a program of easy-to-implement interventions that will help your child learn and practice new skills that help improve their ability to communicate, interact, manage themselves and accomplish goals.
Over the course of time, we’ll continually revisit and review our progress and make adjustments as needed to ensure that your child is reaching their developmental milestones.
